The older our kids get, the more . . . ahem . . . organized my husband and I become. Lately, we’ve taken to organizing the small areas of our lives in an attempt to make the bigger picture a bit less frantic.

I can’t control myself, I have to make it pretty.

Try making these look pretty.

How do I make these look pretty?

Labels!

They work really well for our large bins too. You know, the kind that a girl can stick a measuring cup into.

Please don’t judge me on my cupboard shelves, I’m choosing to think of them as “Shabby Chic”.

I printed these out on label paper and laminated them with self-adhesive laminate sheets. Don’t try to get tricky cutting these out, you’ll just be disappointed. I used the good ol’ scissors and just took my time. After they’re laminated and cut out, stick ‘em on your canisters and enjoy a pretty cupboard!

David was looking for a timeless, classic feel, and for a logo that would carry him through many years of practice.

We chose a classic monogram style and applied it to letterhead, business cards, appointment cards, note cards, note pads, envelopes and a kickin’ newsletter.

David was thrilled with the results, and continues to work with Holli Sampson Design.

Hi, I’m Holli, and welcome! I’m a wife, mother of two, graphic designer, quilter and a little bit of a farm girl from the Northwest. This site is a combination of my freelance design work and the things I fall in love with from time to time. The partners of this office are avid outdoorsmen living in the shadow of the Grand Teton, and requested an identity that reflected not only their interests and the area they live in, but the type of law they practice. The outline of the Grand Teton is a nod to which side of the range they live on—obvious to anyone who resides in the area!

225 South offers web, graphic and information design solutions, but needed a solution of their own. The identity solution needed to be upbeat, positive and youthful, but still be inviting to older generations.

Ridge Crest Dental Implants & Periodontics

Ridge Crest Dental Implants & Periodontics is a single-doctor practice located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dr. Moulton chose a calm identity with traditional dental iconography, with a twist on the name of the practice.

Dr. Moulton required a partial identity set for office use, including small maps with the office location on the back of many applications, including referral sheets and his initial grand opening invitations.

Northwest Percussion Project

The Northwest Percussion Project is a non-profit organization focusing on a one-day, all-day workshop for students in grades 5 through 12. They needed a logo that was rock ‘n roll, and wanted one that could visually explain “Percussion”. Since drumsticks are the most commonly used items at the event, we started there.

Blue County Line

Blue County Line is serious about country music. They’re also serious about not taking themselves seriously. The band hired artist Forrest “Gillfish” Gilcrest to create album artwork, and then turned to Paperwhite Creative to make it all happen. We chose to follow the feel of the band’s logo and mimic a little of the anarchy in the artwork in the text areas, and found a design with a very down-home feel.

Trueblood & Lane

The Trueblood & Lane recipes and packaging were designed as gifts to family members in a very large family. The client wanted something that could be built over time as family recipes began to be shared by a generation of the family beginning families of their own. Cleverly written recipes evoke the personality and voice of the one sharing them, with packaging that nods to the family’s deep roots.
