The older our kids get, the more . . . ahem . . . organized my husband and I become. Lately, we've taken to organizing the small areas of our lives in an attempt to make the bigger picture a bit less frantic. I can't control myself, I have to make it pretty. Try making these look pretty. How do I make these look pretty? Labels! They work really well for our large bins too. You know, the kind that a girl can stick a measuring cup into. Please don't judge me on my cupboard shelves, I'm choosing to think of them ...
Happy New Year!
Resolutions are difficult things. I always make them with the best of intentions and fail miserably. Probably because I make them unattainable. So this year, I'm going to make only one, and make it attainable. I'm going to love my kids, love my husband and let go of the things I can't control. And I'm going to post more often. Done. Best of luck with your
Meanwhile…
I'm in the middle of making major changes and updates to this site, and hopefully combining it with my design site. Bear with me, I'll have it done eventually! In the meantime, feel free to check out what I've been up to over at my favorite boutique's
Isn’t it funny?
Life got busy and got the best of me, and after nearly a year of neglect, I'm finally starting to pay more attention to this blog. And I just noticed—yes, just—that another blogger found my cupcake toppers last February. I couldn't be more thrilled, even if it is almost a year later! Thank you Pizzazzerie for making my
Shutterfly me to the moon and back!
I fell in love with Shutterfly when I was in college. I adored their logo, and that was enough to make me purchase prints. When the prints came, I was still in love with the logo and even more with the quality and service. So this year, I'm reading my usual blogs and they're all a-twitter about a new promotion for bloggers for 50 FREE HOLIDAY CARDS! Woot! I'm in, without even reading the fine print! I asked to be allowed to post and here's what I found when they let me in (you don't have to wait for an invitation to go look at these ...
Long time gone…
If you've missed some posts, it's not your connection! I've been busy—on March 16, my husband and I welcomed a beautiful little girl to add to our family! When things calm down more, I'll be

Daily loves: Pin up girls!
Don't know why, but I really do love pin-up art, especially when it's applied to modern-day design! Well done, Carlo
Daily loves: crab
Ok, well, I don't love crab. What I do love is this: in my small town, February means one thing. Crab feeds. Maybe it's the Northwest, or maybe it's just the small towns around me, but around here, crab feeds are big. Naturally, since February is just around the corner, I've been thinking a lot about crab, and while I don't enjoy the meal, I did find some really cool "crabby" things. 1. Hello Mr. Dungeness Crab pendant by SimplyChacha; 2. Crab calling cards by Happy Girl Greetings; 3. Cherry Red Crab Notebook by Moonlight Bindery; 4. ...
